Coldfusion Performance Monitoring Toolset Site unavailable available notifications

Hi,

Every server I configure with the PMT (CF+PMT2021) it can't figure out the connectors, it has dubplicate entries for all connectors, once by ip, once by application name.

It keeps switching over from ip to sitename connector constantly, and everytime it does I get an alert saying site unavailable, site available. This happens like 1000 times a day depending on the amount of connectors.

I am fine with just ignoring this as everything seems to work fine and the PMT is just buggy I guess.

The only problem I have is there is no option to disable these notifications, all alerts are turned off in every section on the nodes as well as the PMT alert settings itself.

Anybody have any clue?

It doesn't seem the PMT is used by many, as there are like 10 topics in total about it on this forum (2 of which are mine now, one on another account) and not properly updated by adobe as the 2021 PMT still says "© 1995 - 2020 Adobe. All Rights Reserved." It is also a pita to properly tune the settings so it's workable.

Hi mindf4rt,

Agreed, CFPMT is super buggy. We tried to tune it as much as possible but still get lots of false positive alerts.

To make things worse, there is very little documentation about it. At most you can find a very old video explaining the (!)wonders of CFPMT.

If you have a support account, I highly recommend getting on their case. That's the only way we were able to sort of tune our instance.

I'm having a different issue that support has not been able to fix and I came across your post. Lots of folks move to FusionReactor for a fee instead of dealing with CFPMT. We only run CF in a legacy app, so that's not an option for us.

Good luck!

I would agree with @LAmarga : it looks like your best option is to contact Adobe ColdFusion Support -  cfsup[at]adobe.com.
