Hello everyone!
I just purchased a macbook and installed coldfusion 8 developeredition on leopard.
(i'm used to working with coldfusion on pc, this is my first time on mac...)

I've tried it all, but i cant connect to the administrator.
I was desperate and just rebooted my new laptop.
But still nothing..

'could not connect to server localhost'...

Can anyone help? Please?

Tnx!

Greetz,
Yann.

I get the same messages. Be aware though that it takes a lot longer for the CF server to start that one would think, I didn't time mine but it came up with server 500 errors for what seemed like 4-5 minutes before it worked.

Tnx for your response.

I had tried this though. Doesn't work. I'm using the correct path also.
One thing is odd though and i didn't have it before, when i start coldfusion with de cflauncher, i get a positive response cf is running, but when i stop coldfusion, i get a message saying it isn't running.

Should i try another installation? I've puchased a standard cf license for our webserver, but i figured the development, buil-in server should do for local testing.

I was so happy with my mac, but i'm nothing with it if i can't use coldfusion...

Tnx for any help!

Hi,

First go to /Applications/ColdFusion8 and run ColdFusionLauncher.app and try to stop then start CF. Also depending on how you're set up, if using the built-in webserver you need to use port 8500, so you'd go to http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/administrator/

Best of luck
