Invalid License when trying to upgrade

When entering the Serial Number of Adobe Coldfusion 2023 and then the previous serial number of Adobe Coldfusion 2016, we are getting an error stating the previous ColdFusion serial number is invalid.

The fact that you're being prompted to enter the previous S/N means you bought a discounted upgrade cf2023 license. That's only suited to those who have a cf2021 license. You're trying to do this instead with a cf2016 S/N, which will not work.

 

I'll share that you may be able to get a refund if it was recent. And then you could get a 25% discount (not 50%) via a special offer through September for those on cf2018 and earlier. See my blog post about that here.
