Is there a local CF server that can be installed on a development computer for testing purposes or do you need to have a CF server?

    Brad,

You can use CF on your development machine. Just go to the CF product page and download the CF server for your machine. Once done, you can install it and, during the installation process, tell it to be the developer edition.

This is a full-functioning CF server that can be viewed from within your internal network and, I believe, 1 additional IP address.
