passing a variable value from ColdFusion to SQL BIDS

A coworker has to write a report in BIDs that will be called from a link or button in a ColdFusion prorgam. How do you pass a value from a cookie, form element, or ColdFusion variable to a BIDS program ?

That's a pretty open question, ColdFusion can use form fields, SOAP, WebServices, TCP Sockets, whatever you need.

The better question to start with is: what methods does BIDS have of being called, and what does it return? What APIs does it have, basically?
