Server hangs

Hi,

Since we have upgraded to Coldfusion MX 7.0 the server hangs at least once a weak.

I have been searching in the logfiles but nothing is written in the logs in the periods from the server hangs until it is restarted.

Then I found this technote that I thought could help me figuring out what is happening when it hangs..
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_18339

But unfortuneally it does not work.

When I start the service with the "Allow service to interact with desktop" the DOS window named jrunsvc.exe does not open!?

Can anybody help me with this problem?

The box running the service is a
Windows 2003 server SE SP 1 with 1.95 GB of ram.

You could just disable the service and start it from a command prompt...

It'd help us help you if you'd give us some further details about your install.

CF Enterprise or Standard? If Enterprise, how is it installed? Stand alone or multiserver?

Your jvm.config details, are you running the latest patches (7.0.1, HF1? 2?, ODBC updates)? Are you using any Access databases?

Can you post a few of the lines from application, server, and exception log from just before the server crashed?

Before you proceed, install the updates and hotfixes. Some fix hanging problems.

Firewalls have been known to make Coldfusion "hang". What happens when you temporarily disable your firewall?

Did you check beforehand that the Coldfusion service is running? Do you press on the "Apply" button after you "Allow service to interact with desktop"?
