Hi
I have tried installing Cold fusion 8 Developer edition
twice. On each occasion it was successfully installed to the point
that I could access the administrator page. I followed all default
option while installing on my local Windows machine.
However, when I try to access an index.cfm page (set up using
IIS 5.1 and virtual dir), I keep receiving this error:
"Server Application Error
The server has encountered an error while loading an
application during the
processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for
more detail
information. Please contact the server administrator for
assistance."
Checking the logs, this is what I get:
The description for Event ID ( 4 ) in Source ( ColdFusion 8
Application Server ) cannot be found. The local computer may not
have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to
display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the
/AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support
for details. The following information is part of the event:
coldfusion, ColdFusion 8 Application Server.
So far, I can see that I have followed all installation
procedures correctly.
Do I need to re-install IIS or my OS to get this working?
