CC on a Mac, OS 10.14. How many different places might be used to store ICC Profiles? When I look at the color settings options, or go to select a printer profile in Photoshop, I see many, many items that are not in my Library/ColorSync/Profiiles or username/Library/ColorSync folders. I'd like to get rid of the useless ones.
Hi, take care removing icc profiles - some are used by applications and are needed. If you remove any please don't simply delete, but move them to a "removed from" folder (including the source folder name and location) in case you need to put them back exactly where you found them.
Here's where to find the profiles:

print drivers will often place output media profiles in the Library/Printers folder, these are not usually available other than in the OSX Print dialog, unless you copy them into one of the regular ColorSync/Profiles folders.
/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/ICCProfiles/[printername].profiles/Contents/Resources
I hope this helps
if so, please "like" my reply and if you're OK now, please mark it as "correct", so that others who have similar issues can see the solution
thanks

I have a strange problem. I have 2 instances of the same printer. On the 1st one I have all the icc profiles i could ever need but the finisher extension on my printer doesn't work. On the other I can access the finisher (to make booklets) but it only has RGB profiles and the colours come out all wrong (even when the doc is set to RGB) - its super frustrating because I cant figure it out. I have checked all libraries and copied profiles all over my hard drive but I get nothing... anyone know whats going on here?

This is a driver issue. Check for an updated driver or Contact the printer manufacturer for support on that. Or you can try it yourself but these profiles may be baked into the driver.
