Hi,
The recorded adobe connect can be seen by using the recording link. But it is always on the local server.
How can we download such a meeting/ session so that it can be listened offline on desktop?
Thanks & Regards,
Daman
Only the HOST of the meeting can offer that option.
The HOST has to go into Adobe Conenct Central and access their room. On Connect Central they go to the recordings tab under the room and select the recording. Once selected they can choose "Make Public" and then "Make Offline". At that stage they will see Connect Add-In launch and the meeting will play completely from start to end. It has to record that "playback" locally so the PC/Mac cannot be used for anything else while that is going on. On

Shesh,
This thread is pretty old and goes through many versions of Connect, so the information contained in it may be misleading.
The method of downloading the source files for Connect recordings mention just above your post doesn't get you a playable version of the recording. Just the bits and pieces that Connect assembles to recreate the live meeting experience. If you want a playable video of the meeting recording you'll need to use the make offline option, explained here: Creating an offline MP4 file from your recording - Adobe Connect User Community
Does that help?

Thank yiu for response.
As per this info vedio can be made offline in meeting room by host.
I am looking to make it offline for a meeting which occurred in past and hosted by third person. This vedio is available online but to view it I need to visit the site every time.
Is there any way-out?

You can do a number of things.
If you have Administrator permissions, then you shouldn't need Host rights to the meeting rooms. It is also worth pointing out you do not need to be a member of the Meeting Host group to create the offline MP4's as show in the above tutorial.

Thank you!!!
As informed earlier the meeting was hosted by third person, so I have no right to the meeting room. And as of now I am not a member of adobe-connect.
To get host rights to the desired room what is complete process, if you can explain please.

Ah, I understand that it was hosted by another person. I didn't catch that you didn't have any access on the account.
If you need an MP4 or FLV version of the recording you'll need to reach out to the person/group in charge of that Connect account and either request that they make the conversion or that they give you access to do so. I suspect asking kindly for them to do a conversion for you would be the best way to go.

Anyone has found any way to convert the .zip file of the session, with .flv and .xml files on it, to a mp4 or avi file without sync problems?
I have become crazy trying to merge audio and video (since both are in different files, and since both files have different duration, I always have sync problems.
I have tried the solution proposed above (upload a .zip file into adobe, and generate an mp4 files), but choosing high quality gives me audio errors in the mp4 generated by adobe.
After chatting with them, their solution was to generate it in normal quality (no HD or ultra HD), but that way, I have worse resolution that the original and are some pictures on the presentation really difficult to watch correctly.
I want to have a 1920x1080 copy of the session with no video & audio problems and withouth sycn problems.
Any solution?
I can not understand how adobe doesn't provide a tool to merge all the files contained into the .zip session file.

I saw this on another forum and modified it to make it easier for me. Unzip the files into a directory and then only choose the flv files CameraVOIP and screenshare. Download the program Media Player Classic. Choose file open and use the CameraVOIP as the first main file and then the screenshare one for dubbing. They play together well with no conversions or anything. Presumably there is a way to convert the whole zip files when unzipped though.

I cannot believe that there is not a better way to download a recording than watching each recording right through.
In my team we have numerous presentations going on each week (on average 1 hour per session) - it's almost a full-time job just to download each recording!!
Any workarounds? I saw the download .zip option but doesn't seem to be an easy way to merge these files together.

philinho85,
Since the recordings are not saved as a video (FLV or MP4) file on the Connect server, there is no option other than doing a conversion process to get a video file. As you have seen when downloading the zip of the recording source files, there is a lot there and Connect uses those files, while still calling to the content that is uploaded to Connect, to play back the recordings. So the recording source files will likely not even have all the presentations that were used in the live meeting when you download them.
So, your workarounds are to set up an automated script that requests new recordings from the server at whatever interval you desire and then have it create the offline versions of the recordings, or use eSync's MP4 conversion service, eSyncTraining - Live online Adobe Training Classes and Web Development Courses .

e-sync training has a service where they do the conversion for you if using the default process takes too much time because you are doing so many. It can even be used to add closed captioning, post production.
