Hello there,

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5, last version, doesn't work on my MacBook. I get the colored wheel turning on and I cannot do anything.

Is there a way to make it work or an alternative to Adobe Digital Editions, in order to read my .acsm books ?

Thanks in advance

I get a server error when I try to open a downloaded library epub book. The program will run on an intel Mac with the same OS version so it is an Apple bug. Rosetta needs work. Digital Editions will run normally on a Windows 11 VM on my M1 Pro Mac. Apple should include that with it's OS. I plan to install a VM of Monterey to see if it will run that way.

Worked fine and a Monterey VM so I figured it was some kind of a problem in my intall. DE would not let me deactivate either. I read this hint, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html . I found the activation file, deleted it and then open DE and activated my computer. That worked! My cloud books downloaded and opened fine. I checked out a new library book and that worked too. I am a happy camper now.
