Cannot authorize

I have had adobe digital editions for quite awhile now. However I am unable to authorize my computer with my ID. I keep getting an error message something like this: E_AUTH_ NOT READY!

Has anybody got any advice? I do have an internet connection??

Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state..

Try completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).

Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your Adobe ID.

If that doesn't work ...

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0.  Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

Thank you so much for this information! I was able to get the suggested

older version via Tucows.com & we have an authorised pc & two ebooks. My

poor little girl has waited a year to be able to put books onto her

reader. Thank you so so much for your help
