Hello, I have tried to download ebooks to my e-reader, but I got a message saying that E_ACT_TOO_Many_Activations. Is this because I read the book on 3 different places i.e. pc, iphone and e-reader ? How can I solve the problem ? Thank you.
To reset the activation contact customer support chat https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?step=ADE_adobe-id-signing-in_stillNeedHelp and ask for reset of adobe ID.

I have this problem, too. I have tried this link with 2 different browsers. I am only given the option of community forums, never a chat option. I have tried at all times of day. I cannot find any way to contact Adobe and get help.in resetting the number of authorizations. I get the same message on both my laptops and just go in circles from the contact us link around to the only option of community forums. I'm very frustrated. I have been trying over a number of weeks to do this and can't find any way to request this from Adobe other than to ask you. There is no web option. There is no email option. There is no chat option. There is no tech option. There is no phone option. Please help me.

Hi Nanaky,
I followed the link in this thread.. Then I was asked to login, so I
did. Had to choose the product, ADE in my case. No option for the
problem available. No option to chat. Last week I chatted to a
colleague of yours, but couldn't find the thread again.. Didn't help
anyway. Personally I think that the way Adobe handles activations is
user unfriendly to say the least. Maybe even illegal to deny access to
legally acquired content. There are lots over other options to preserve
DRM rights. Adobe made the wrong choice I think. I update my android-
roms frequently and should be free to do so without having to go
through the ordeal adobe is putting people through. Now my tablet
crashed and I bought a new e-reader. Got a temporarily replacement
because delivery of the one I ordered is delayed. Need the e-books for
my study and end up mailing, chatting instead of studying.
Regards Rik

Activation can only reset the customer support or adobe staff person. So i can not help in this point.

Some time ago I had the same problem and twice managed to chat with someone at Adobe, but this time that seems impossible! When I managed to contact them I was told we are allowed to do a certain number of activations (around 19). After that it needs resetting. A good advice is always to sign out of your account before deleting and application which uses your Adobe account. This will save activation counts! I've created another account, which I now use for regular apps on my iPhone etc. As for the ebooks or apps or readers which are DRM controlled by Adobe, those remain unusable. I think and I hope Adobe at least posts a workaround to this problem or allow us to contact them in some way!

This person has nailed it. Support will not help with ADE issues. You just need to create a new adobe account with a new password, using a different email address. I have spent hours trawling through these forums and what may have worked in the past, does not work now. Library staff were persistent and knowledgable but they cannot solve the problem. Only adobe staff can reset your activations and they won't for free products. I tried everything from reinstalling all software, doing resets of all devices, changing cables, computers ..........Nothing worked. So I used a different email address and started from scratch. By the way,for me, this problem was not related to having too many activations, unless it cumulates data from previous computers. A laptop every 3 years, 19 activations, should give you 57 years of use. But work and home computers, and the 'reset to factory settings' that happens about once a year; we're down to 19 years of use. Time to create a new account with a new email, and possibly a new library number as well. Much faster than trying to get non-existent chat help.

The forums are updated by other Adobe product users, worth noting that the community experts will not be able to assist with : registration, activation, download, and/or installation issues.
You (12/8/21, 10:45:17 PM EET): I cannot activate an ebook reader app

When I tried to sign in, a message "Error - too many activations" came up and I can go no further.
