Error trying to open ascm file

I get an error when I try to open an ascm file.  I am working on a MacBook Pro.  It worked fine yesterday.

Error getting License.  License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED.

When you request an .acsm from your content provider, an expiration date/time is assigned. After that date/time has passed, the file can no longer be used.

If your content provider allows it, you may be able to download a new .acsm with an updated expiration. Make sure you open the new download, rather than the old/cached version.

Check your computer to be sure the time, date, and time zone are correct for your location. This can also cause trouble with the expiration.
