Hi,
I've got a new kobo clara 2E and want to read ebooks from my library on it, so I need to use digital editions to remove the license. However, mu ereader does not show up at all in the program. I don't even see a 'devices' tab. I've tried deleting and redownloading the progam, and revoking the license.
Does anyone know a solution?
Thank you!

I am having the same issue. I have a Kobo Clara HD and ADE used to immediately recognise it and display it as a device. However, it no longer recognises my Kobo as a device, even though it is showing on my desktop. I found an Adobe webpage that lists the compatible devices - there are a few Kobo ereaders listed, but not the Clara HD. I have tried everything I can think of, including doing a factory reset of the Kobo, but no luck. Kobo gave me some complicated instructions about deleting the ADE folders on my Mac, but I am now thinking this is an ADE issue rather than a Kobo issue.

My local library provided me with the right solution that worked for me.
Go to you system settings on you Mac > security and privacy > files and folders > select both options for Adobe Digital Editions (some of the terms might not be correct, I translated it from Dutch)
Hope this works for you!

Paulien, you are an angel! Yes, I changed that setting and Adobe Digital Editions is now showing my Kobo as a device, and I have managed to save a library book to it.
Thank you, thank you 🙂
