syncing highlights and notes across devices

Hello, I have been reading a digital editions book on my desktop, and have been highlighting and making notes. I now want to read the same book on another device (e.g., laptop), and the highlighting or notes have not synced between the devices. Does anyone know how to fix this? (so that I am not making seperate notes/highlights on each device)?

How can Adobe seriously have not added such a basic feature?  Particularly when a quick Google search shows customers have been asking for it for +1 decade?  Goodness grief this company needs to be disrupted ASAP
