Trying to authorize my PC with Adobe Digital Editions using 'Google' as my ebook vendor. Authorization keeps failing with the error message.
"Incorrect login ID or password for the selected eBook vendor. Please try again"
I know my login details are correct. I have tried omitting the @gmail.com with no luck. I want to be able to import my google play books collection into Adobe Digital Editions.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The error say that the ebook linked with a other adobe id. have you open the ebook before you authorize the programm?

the problem with this is that it keeps saying that my password is incorrect, thus I can't de-authenticate. the vendor ID is my adobe ID, is it not?

Can you login with your adobe id and your password on the adobe Website?

Hi, I got the same error that everybody got when trying to authenticate with my google ID. I was forced to make an Adobe ID and I still could not login. I had to change my password to one that contained only letters and numbers and it finally worked.
Well, I posted just to point out that this is a shame.

Hi Folks,
even if you can login to Adobe ID using google it does not mean you can also do the authorization with the same password as google. Please create a new password within the ADOBE ID application in the internet and use this for the authorization process. This is going to work. the problem has nothing to do with password complexity as also adobe ID asks you to create a password with highrer complexity with special charater etc.

Michael

Thank you! My existing Adobe ID did not meet the new security requirements. So I did what you said, created a new ID with the new requirements (combo of letters, numbers, and symbol). I authorized my computer with this new Adobe ID and my Google Book automatically imported into ADE. I did not need to use my Google log in to open the book.

Actually one of the worst authentication system I ever saw.
A company as Adobe should be simply ashamed to propose it to the pubblic.
It's so bloody user unfriendly that seems you want really to punish the user cause it was so stupid to trust you!

Same -- I eventually logged in with an adobe ID that I use for their other stuff.
Clicked on the downloaded book - and it displayed - seems the .ascm vendor (in my case google) is not requited for the adobe reader to display a book .. Im assuming firm any .ascm supplier.

How come such critical problem remains unresolved almost 6 years...any other solution?
