Why won't Adobe Digital Editions recognise my Kindle?

I need to download an epub ebook onto my Kindle which is protected by Adobe Digital Editions. Unfortunately, Adobe Digital Editions does not recognise my Kindle (a Paperwhite).

I followed the instructions from https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/transfer-ebook-ereader-digital-editions.html#sa_src=web-...g  Transfer eBook to eReader in Adobe Digital Editions and the link included on that post (Go to http://blogs.adobe.com/digitalpublishing/supported-devices to verify that Adobe Digital Editions supports your device) is blocked, by Kaspersky Total Security.
