I've been having trouble downloading books to my kobo via Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) version 4.5.11. I've had to activate and deactivate many times to try to do factory resets etc. I received the error message "E_ACT_TOO MANY ACTIVATIONS". The virtual support says the product is no longer supported to go to the community forums for an answer. The answer led me to this site

https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/e-act-too-many-activations.html

with a solution to contact Adobe to get the activation count reset, but the Adobe contact said the product is no longer supported, and to post a message hoping someone will answer. Is it just me or is this circular? The solution is to contact them to reset the activation count, but they can't do it as the product is not supported? Or maybe a monitor to the community forum will do it behind the scenes? Is that what is being suggested by this site? that happened back in 2017? is it still valid?

Do I just wait indeterminately and see if Adobe can help?
