Hello all! We have a new release today (Dimension 3.4.4) which now supports emulation mode for Apple Arm (M1) devices. We've gotten great feedback from beta testers about it's performance and really excited to bring Dimension to new devices!
No timeline for native support right now, but we'll keep you posted!

Hello!
This post was almost a year ago.
Will there be support for ARM architecture for Dimension?
Or will the program be discontinued.
It would be nice if you could keep us informed.
With kind regards
Chris

I have just been getting a warning orange exclamation on top right of my Adobe Dimension, it says You are not logged in.
I am logged in, I suspect because my new Mac Studio is an M1, and Dimension is intel?
I didn't have that issue last month on my old intel iMac ?

Nope has nothing to do with apple silicon! im getting it on my M1 Max, Intel Mac and even on my Lenovo Legion Windows laptop! Sadly adobe doesnt care much about their 3D apps... they are very bad and always keep me going back to Cinema 4D or Blender... Please ADOBE show you care and update ur 3D apps and fix its many issues!

Yes it is a glitch, Adobe has noted that, but it is not affecting the performance.
also, there is another glitch, on all 3 areas to find which version you are operating with, there is a discrepancy under about Dimension and under versions on CC app, and under info on the icon if the app.
hope there is a fix for those and other minor bugs.
I'm learning Blender better workflow for me, limitations in Ai to export an .obj with the mesh tool or gredient tool used to create like a plastic bag with wrinkles. Dimension doesn't have that in their model startup kit. Photoshop no longer support 3D, while Adobe Illustrator is taking that task, someone neglected to check on the Mesh tool feature to creat a model to use in Dn.
imsoent 4 months learning Dimension to use for packaging mock ups, I should have learned Bender instead.
Now I know the modeling section of Blender so I can resume my normal food packaging designs in Ai.

Today March 11, 2023, a new updated Dimension 3.4.8.
i m not sure what it is for, the warning orange exclamation on top right of my Adobe Dimension, it says You are not logged in.
it is still visible. There are no documentations to what was the update for, the only thing I notice was the version jives with all other places; App info, About Dimension and on CC under versions.
why don't they fix things and make it right?

When will we have a native version of Adobe Dimension for Apple Silicon? almost 3 years have passed since the launch of Apple silicon processors??

I hope they will.
Especially now with the announcement of M2 of both top Mac's, Mac Studio and Macrpro are out and something needs to happen.
It seems Adobe in focusing on its Substance apps, hoping everyone will flock to it.

I have an M2 Macbook Pro and Dimension which I relied on in my workflow, now runs very flakily under emulation. I'm not very happy when I see Adobe reps suggesting a move to Substance!!! It's like suggesting I take a sledgehammer to crack a nut! Quite apart from the extra expense of another monthly payment on top of the Creative Cloud subscription. I would really like someone from Adobe to confirm they are going to re-compile Dimension to run natively on M2 silicon, but I doubt anyone will respond 😞

Let's make sure you are aware of the latest Adobe Dimension is running under 3.4.9,.
im not sure what is meant by flakey, is it running slow?. Two things to concern, when you are saving make sure you are saving to your internal SSD drive, don't not save to an external and close all other applications when rendering.
I had the issue of slowness not just Dn but Adobe Illustrator especially when I use the 3D and materials feature.
but when I started saving internally, I don't have an issue..
to respond to your original question regarding will there be an actual M1/M2 Dn natively that is a question I asked Adobe Tech, but didn't get an answer. And I don't not wish to move to Adobe Substance this is a big learning curve and extra cost.
please let's us know after you install the lasted 3.4.9 and switch to saving to internal SSD.

I have to admit, Adobe Dimension 3.4.9, is very stable. Running on a Mac Studio with M1. I'm using it everyday, between Illustrator and Photoshop I get my packaging designs mock-ups. No slowing down, only when rendering; which I do at the end of the day. There are few clitchs, one I'm not sure because it was an exported png from illustrator as a graphic, sometimes I get a blotch on the back of my package once I place the graphic on the front on the model.
What are you issues?
im hoping they will release an update, but not sure what Adobe developer team is working on.
my suspicion it's an illustrator bug when exporting to Dn.

Hi! Quick question... Does Dimension still work okay on Ventura? I'm running 3.4.10 (the last ever update I think!!) On am M1Max Mac studio on Monterey (OS12.6). It work fine, but now I need to udate to Ventura for a bunch of other software - Dimension (which I still need to work) is the only thing holding me back from updating my Mac OS - Thanks in advance.

I'm on 3.4.10 on the exact machine you have, M1 Mac Studio, but running Monterey.
If I move to Ventura I will loose my Font book support for Adobe Postscript Type 1 fonts. Even though illustrator, Indesign and photoshop no longer support Type 1 fonts, I can still keep them in Fontbook, and Affinity Designer fully supports Adobe Thoe 1, since I'm a graphic designer and have a big collection of Type 1. I'm not sure about how my other software will work with Ventura. Let's see how many will respond to your question if they are running on Venture, in the meantime I can check with some of my YouTube Diminsion users, they post tutorials videos.
