Hi to all,
I have installed the last version of Dimension (4.0.2) and now have a problem to open my .dn files, it cant be opened. I work with MACPRO with Intel Xeon W12 core CPU and AMD Radeon Pro W5700X 16 GB GPU.
Someone have the same problem?

Is this file created by previous version or you can't open any file from scratch in new Dn?

My file was created in a previous version. My computer updated Dimension over night & now none of the items in my document are visable. They dont even show in the que on the right.

I'm having the same issue. I was able to get one file open yesterday and work on it. Tried opening a newer saved version of that file again today and nothing loads. I actually can't even get Dimension to close - I tried using Task Manager to force close and that didn't work.

Here is some recomdation Dimension viewport is blank | Dimension (adobe.com) and GPU rendering is disabled | Dimension (adobe.com)
for two common issues. Also you can try Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation issues

Thanx for your suggestion but I can't enable GPU rendering flag, maybe the AMD Radeon Pro W5700X 16 GB GPU is no longer compatible.?

As I know The AMD Radeon Pro W5700X 16 GB GPU meets and exceeds the system requirements for Adobe Dimension 4.0.2 as it also works for previous version.

I work with a Ryzen 9 5950X PC and NVIDIA RTX 4070 TI SUPER 16GB GPU. I don't feel any improvement with the upgrade. Ultimately I went back on 3.4.11.

The rendering mode no longer appears, they changed the engine and it is supposed to automatically render by GPU. I even got a window at the beginning of the render saying "a dedicated GPU was found, render through it". I didn't like "the new" I prefer THOUSAND TIMES the clunky 3.4.11, unstable and all but functional. My files moved everything, it put a THOUSAND CAMERAS that I don't know where they came from and in general I could no longer interact as I have been doing in my workflow. I JUST HAD TO REMOVE THE BETA FROM RENDERING AND THAT'S IT, ADOBE! NOT MAKE THE PROGRAM UNUSABLE. It's just like Substance.

No, the problem persists. I used the Adobe Cleaner tool to uninstall and clean the previous version of Dimension and had installed version 4.0.3, but my files cannot be opened.
I hope the problem will be solved with the next updates

Everyone, the new version SUCKS, it's like Substance, you can't set the DPI anymore, it's automatic all LOW-MID-HIGH type. But your canvases you can no longer customize them to make renderings for print as is my case, only for screens.

CERTAINLY an Issue!
It appears many users have some issues opening older (previous) versions / Dimension files.
"There is some data on these files which is not yet compatible on newer version" ...
Previous versions (cameras and other object data) are fine in versions up to 3.4.11.
(Newest) Version above, seems to have some issues with some more complex 3D objects/scenes.
Notably:
I waited about an hour and an old file finally opened. It had huge number of cameras, which I deleted and kept one.
Regardless, the file was unworkable in the newest version. Hangs/Crawls/Crash and Freeze. Other files never open.
Def not a hardware/software issue.... Most people in here have amazing video cards! 🙂 and up-to-date systems.
Proof is simply that all of these files open no problem in ALL versions previous.
Also - you can install the latest version (works) and start all over with new files (not ideal).
Fingers Crossed Adobe can figure this one out!!!
