Pixelated / Blurry graphics on the 3d Model in Dimesion

Hi,
I have a problem and I can't solve. When I place the graphics on the 3D model in Dimension (Version 3.4.9), they look pixelated and blurry. I prepare the graphics in Illustrator or Photoshop. I have tried all kinds of DPI options (72-300-600 DPI) The 3D model looks fine, but the graphics on it are terrible. I have tried everything, but without any result. The system I am using is Mac Mini M2 Pro. I am attaching an image about the subject in the attachment. I would be grateful if you can help with the solution.

I. Erol

  • What material do you have applied?
  • Is the graphic 300dpi or higher?
  • Did you scale up the 3D model?
  • Have you tried a render to see if it's just the render preview?

Sometimes if I go to Object > Generate UVs it helps smooth my graphics.

Thank you for your reply. I prepare 3D models as OBJ or STL in different programs and import them to Dimension. The models are between 250 and 400 mm high. 3D Models look excellent. I apply color on the model and place the graphic. I tried many DPI options in the images I prepared. (72-150-300-600 DPI) I work in PNG format in graphics. Although I set the render to full, all graphics look pixelated. I changed the size of the graphics for testing purposes, but it didn't work again. Also, I select Quality High (Slow) when rendering out, but the result is still very badly pixelated. To try it out, I have the same problem with 3D models from Dimesion's existing library. I'm stumped.

Try to enhance rendered file in Ps  as that is limitation of Dimension.

There are limitations in Dn that can't be chnage. The one is blurines that is caused by limitation of image size that can be placed into UV.

Thanks for your reply. I have changed the model size and canvas size many times, but to no avail. There is no problem with 3d models as opposed to graphics.
