Is it possible to replace an OBJ file? Rather than importing a new one, to make changes to the obj in photoshop and have it replaced in Dimension, keeping the positioning and materials the same? (Much like how you can edit or replace a smart object in photoshop)

its possible to do by hand... I do that all the time but its not automatic for 3d objects

p.s, don't remove the old object just export a copy [edit it in Photoshop \ Blender] and bring the new object back into the scene... now set all the sizes and locations to match the old object and it will sit in the exact same spot... at that point you delete the old one
