Looks like I missed some fun in my absence in the last few days - DW CC2017 was released. My, My, despite all the beta testing it sounds like something of a disaster.

The new photoshop and dreamweaver 'helps' have added an extra 20% onto my development time.  I've been trying to turn off all the extra things that are meant to 'help' me (help that I neither need nor wanted) but still have not been able to get all the little extra boxes out of my way so I can get my work done. Very frustrating. It reminds me a project I did with another design person who wanted 20 different bells and whistles on each area of the interface and I kept saying, "no, it needs to be simpler not more complicated for people". The company spent a load of money and then they scrapped it.  I think people get significance out of reinventing the wheel sometimes because they can point to something they contributed then but the bigger question should be "what do people really want and how do they like to work?"
