Annoying DW Bugs

Adobe developers - please note - my guess is this has been reported but there are two HIGHLY ANNOYING bugs in DW 2017 that were not in previous versions.

We are using the OSX version.

1>   Opening DW in code view mode always results in the window not remembering its previous size - and in fact,  goes full screen , which means we have to drag / resize it EVERY SINGLE TIME we go to use it.   Once resized,  the window size and position holds when new files are opened, but if you exit the app and start it again - no hold.   FIX IT PLEASE

2>  When switching between various code elements ( i.e. JS file, CSS file , Source) on the top menu,    EVERY SINGLE TIME the  position where were were in the code defaults back to the top of the page.    For instance - we are on line 1200 of particular source code  file,   we switch over to the CSS file to make a quick  mod,  then switch back to the source and instead of it being at line 1200,  the window resets and we're back at the top of the page.    INSANELY IRRITATING and time consuming.

We have actually started using TextWrangler and CODA  for HTML edit work lately because Dreamweaver costs us so much time during routine edits.

We have tried everything to eliminate these problems - settings adjustments,   saving the desktop, we even tried using 2 monitors , nothing fixes it.

FIX IT PLEASE !!

Hi 6ixgun,

For #2, I did log an internal bug in the system. We will prioritise it for upcoming releases.

For #1, would you be able to share exact use case? Or a video capture?

You can go ahead and submit your feedback/bugs to

This forum is a user to user forum to submit bug/feature requests directly to Adobe, go to the Help Menu in Dreamweaver and submit a bug/feature request.  The developers do get those responses.

I have the everytime I click something in live view it goes to the top of the page and then I have to scroll back to where I was. For your #2 did you ever try the quick edit for CSS?  I know it will not be the end all be all but in some situations, it could help.

Hi Nancy - saving has no effect on the issue - we always save the desktop.

If you're on a Mac, are your windows docked to the DW application frame?
