Background File Activity Window

For some reason yesterday I started getting the background file activity pop up and it's annoying popping up even when I'm not working on a file but browsing the web. Not sure why it suddenly decided to annoy me but is there a way to disable the popup?

    Log says:

    Started: 1/19/17 10:05 AM

    File activity complete.

    Finished: 1/19/17 10:05 AM

I found out what the background file activity is. It gives me a message saying it's accessing the folder DOCS. I clicked on the file tree icon on the top RHS of the DW page and I see that DW had saved a ton of my HTML files with the title XXXXX.v004.html. Seems as though DW for some reason is saving versions of my html files and I have no idea why it's doing that. Is there a way to turn that off as it's accessing that folder ever five minutes it seems? I certainly didn't ask it to and don't need it as I have TimeMachine to retrieve an old file if needed.
    Thanks

The additional files you are seeing, are from the file recovery feature.

I thought these where automatically deleted when Dw was closed -

    Turn off all unnecessary processes.

Pause File Syncing in your Creative Cloud Desktop app.

Yes I can do that, but the issue I have is that the window sometimes opens when I'm in another program and when I click on the CLOSE icon it takes me back to DW. It's very annoying and they shouldn't let it appear unless I'm in DW.

I use the uploading files as a reason to take a coffee break, but yes, I agree that should also not happen.

All I can suggest is that you file a feature request for the behaviour to be changed. Before you say it, I know that asking users to do that is becoming the 'standard' reply, but as far as I know there is no other way to let the dev team know what users want.

Are your files located on a local or a remote server?

All of my files are on my local hard drive. However all of them have been uploaded to a server (not mine) but DW is not linked to that site.
