cannot edit site

Site looks fine on screen using DW 19.2 CC. Using a mac mini with system 10.14.6 and DW in spit view. Can highlight lines in live view, and can highlight lines in code view. Cannot edit text or links in either view! Highliting in either view does not show up in other view at same time. Help?!

A couple of things to try.  See screenshots.

Switch to Design View.  You have more editing options, particularly with  DW Templates.

Document Toolbar > Live

Validate code and fix reported errors.
