Question
cant connect
I am trying to update my client's website. (As a side note:
in the beginning of this year my PC completely crashed and I had to
do a clean install of Windows XP and all of my software - I don't
know if this has any bearing)
I have added a table to the database online. My client would like to change the gallery page to include a link which would take certain clients to a login and password page so only they can access specific information. I did this previously for my client on another page so that she could update some of her own information. The website itself is running fine online. However, within Dreamweaver MX, I can not seem to access the database(s). (the Site Definition box/Testing Server information tests OK) When I click on the MySQL connection, or try to connect from within Dreamweaver, I get this message:
Error 404: File not found. here are some possible reasons for the problem:
1) There is no testing server running on the server machine.
2) The testing server specified for the site does not map to the http://www.... Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site.
Any thoughts? It seems like it should be simple, but I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
