Dear Adobe.

I am SO angry and disgusted by your swindling tactics....

I have just bought another of your "Classroom in a book" tutorial manuals...

This on Dreamweaver CC 2019 release.

It is TOTAL RUBBISH....

There is not ONE tutorial based on the 2019 release.

I have also the 2014 release tutorial book... (5 YEARS older)

That book actually has MORE help and information and tutorials than this "NEW" edition.

You have swindled me. (and anyone else buying this book)

Thinking it will have updated tutorials, etc.

NOT A CHANCE...

I am better off using my old 2014 book, which I am now going to do....

I STRONGLY suggest you make an attempt to placate me, with things like a FULL REFUND.

A means to return this TOTAL WASTE OF PAPER back to you at NO COST to me...

I will tell you, I will NOT let this matter slip now.

Glen Gibbs.

Adding to the comments of others, this is a user2user forum. The regulars that come here have no affiliation to Adobe other than that they use Adobe products. In other words, with this forum you are a lot further from the source than if you would be by contacting the publisher or Amazon.

Why not leave a detailed review on Amazon.com?

https://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Dreamweaver-Classroom-Book-Release-ebook/product-reviews/B07L6NB965/ref...

52% of reviewers give it a 5 star review there. 14% give 1 star. Add your voice.

John Waller.
Thank you for this suggestion.

I prefer to go to the "SOURCE".

A catch line actually used by Adobe for their training from the SOURCE....

OK. No problem but product forums won't be your best bet for content feedback. Nothing will change other than perhaps an expression of disappointment from a passing Adobe staffer. You need to find the influencers - who are not here.

As Nancy says, start with the publisher. It's their product. They are not just a postbox for the author. They commissioned the book, guided the content style and targeted a specific market. They want to hear from readers and to sell as many books as possible.

Pearson have a Content Feedback section on their website.

Pearson Support

Equally, a detailed review on Amazon with examples will likely have a lasting effect for Pearson, Adobe and future potential readers. Find the right platform for your views (not here for book reviews though) and publish them thoughtfully.

I certainly read Amazon reviews before purchasing books, especially technical ones like CIB.

Why are you posting complaints here?  Why don't you contact Pearson Education, the publishers of Classroom in a Book series?

Hello Nancy OShea.

My original reply to you seems to have disappeared...

So, sorry to repeat, if it somehow finds its way on here.

Why am I complaining on here, to Adobe ?

"Pearson" are only the Publishers....

They will only publish what you write.

I have no issues with the Publication....

A tagline on the cover of the book says"The official training workbook from Adobe"

Why should I write and complain to Pearson ???

They have acted OK.

Wappler, the only real Dreamweaver alternative.

My biggest complaint with  technical books about Creative Cloud is that they are written well in advance of the product's release date.  So authors are using older pre-release versions that are usually incomplete.  By the time the book hits the shelves, it'a already somewhat outdated.  In my view, online resources are more up to date than 1st edition books.
