Coursebuilder for CS4 not installing

Guest

I've installed the Adobe eLearning Suite, and despite some earlier issues, everything seems to be functioning okay EXCEPT the Coursebuilder extension for Dreamweaver appears not to have been installed. Anyone else come across this issue?

You probably have to install the MXP for the Coursebuilder extension separately through Extension Manger. Have you tried that yet?

Beyond that, I can't help much as I don't have that extension.

I can't find the CourseBuilder MXP on the installation disk, nor can I find the extension on the DW Exchange. CourseBuilder for DW8 is the most recent version on the Exchange.

CourseBuilder is listed at the exchange:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?searchfield=coursebuilder&search_exchange=&num=25&st...

The latest one listed is for DW8, and the download links send me to the following external page:
http://www.rapidintake.com/adobe_coursebuilder_downloads.htm

Not sure if that's the correct version, but I suppose you can try it. Otherwise perhaps you should contact Adobe support as I'd think that you'd get support for install issues:
http://www.adobe.com/support/

BTW: Are you looking at Extension Manager to determine that it isn't installed, or are you checking the menu access points within Dreamweaver?

Thanks for sticking with me on this, Danilo. There is supposed to be an updated version for CS4 that installs with the eLearning Suite, so I probably won't download the DW8 version, if for no other reason than I'd lose the benefit of some interoperability features in the Suite.

Yes, I did check the Extension Manager, and there's nothing there.

On another forum, I learned that on first run of DW CS4 after installing the elearning Suite, the Extension manager is supposed to launch and automatically download the Coursebuilder extension for CS4, but for some reason that didn't happen for me, even after reinstalling DW. I've submitted a bug report on this ... we'll see if I get a response.
