I was getting the infamous MMDocumentType.xml missing or corrupt error messge

I then updated java and now it loads spalsh screen for a split second but no program load?

Just like windows how is it 1 I can not find a solution to common and simple solutions and 2 they over complicate everything in an effort of some d-bag exec trying to "make his mark"???

Windows 7 should have been turned into a subscription

All of Adobe products should have been turned into subscription

NOT CLOUD but subscription

I would pay 19 bucks a year for dreamweaver especially since i have already spent hundreds upon hundreds on adobe crapware.

all i get is oh sorry we no longer support that

How do i get this to load ?

where can i find the download to DW CS6

WHY WHY WHY DOES Adobe NOT realize that cloud is HORRENDOUS

screwing hard working people like they do?

Adobe .. why do you suck, AND NOT CARE.

Every one is helpdesk from OVERSEES

WHere is the American Helpdesk Nothing against Foreign helpdesks

I worked with them for years

But There is ZERO loyalty and your products are not that great because you keep changing them/

Bring back CS4 and KEEP IT THE SAME so i don't have to keep learning new garbage

It takes most average people years to become proficient at your products, you clearly have no sight of that

I know adobe does not see this but it needs to be out there and so far this is my third post

CS6 does not load / I may need to reinstall

where can i find the download

Thank you

First let me tell you one secret:  If you want any support for old products, you need to ask and state your problem briefly and you should avoid putting anything that is irrelevant.

Now somewhere in your post you ask "where can i find the download to DW CS6".  You should have just asked that question so that people don't have to read all that you have put in your post.  OK to download any CS6 product, go to this link:

<Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications >

Read the entire page at the above link and you will find a link to download CS6.

Hope this answers your question and hope this satisfies you for now.

Good luck and Merry Christmas.

You are confusing me. From your rant, which was not necessary, I have made a couple of assumptions.

1. Dreamweaver CS6 used to work in Windows 7 Pro but recently developed a start-up problem.

2. For some reason, unbeknown, you decided to update Java.

3. You prefer Dreamweaver CS4 because you have an adversity to learning

4. This is your third post on this subject

5. You do not have the disks that you originally purchased

6. You prefer to take out a subscription.

My questions, so that I can evaluate the situation in an effort to help you with your problem

1. What changed for Dreamweaver to suddenly stop working?

2. Dreamweaver CS6 requires Java™ Runtime Environment 1.6 to funtion properly. Updates may cause problems.

3. Dreamweaver CS4 is not designed to work past Windows XP or Windows Vista

4. I could not find the other two posts

5. Dreamweaver CS6 came with CD-ROM

6. If you take out a subscription, you can still down load Dreamweaver CS6, but you are guaranteed that it will work under Windows 7 with Service Pack 1

Wappler, the only real Dreamweaver alternative.

The lion's share of Adobe products (Dw, Ps, Ai, Id, etc, etc) are subscription based, not Cloud Based.  Each program is downloaded and installed on your local machine, just like they were in the Creative Suite days.

Under a single subscription, you have access to every Creative Cloud version going back to the beginning of the CC delivery method. For Dreamweaver, you can have 5 versions installed on the same machine under a single subscription (CS6 Cloud, CC, CC2014, CC2015 and CC2017). The only limitation is they won't run at the same time.

When DW abruptly stops functioning correctly for me, which happens, albeit rarely, these are the usual steps I take to get it up and running again...

Clear the program cache (turn on your OS's hidden files, then...): Deleting a corrupted cache file

Rename the Personal Configuration Folder - Locating your personal configuration folder

Restore Preferences (CS4-CS6) - Restore preferences in Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, and CS5.5

Restore Preferences CC Versions - Unusual behavior in Dreamweaver? Try restoring preferences.

Cleaner Tool - Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

The downloads have been given by other posters above, you can install from there and use your current activation info and it "should" run correctly, however if there was something left behind from the previous installation, it could affect the new one. Be sure to use the Cleaner Tool to nuke any of those leftover files.
