Database Connections And Server Script Code Removal

I have been having problems connecting to my Access database using Dreamweaver 8.02 and have tried several remedies that have not worked. Several things that I have done may have contributed to my problem including: the installation of the SP2DBFix, Having two DW users trying to establish a connection with the same database from two domains, and deleting and reinstalling my Connections and mmServer Script folders from my local site and remote server. What I have not done is delete and recreate my site definitions. I have created database applications before and never had a problem. What I would like to know now is how can I remove all of my database code on my site so that I can start over without any possible corruption? Also, when, how and where are the Connections and mmServerScript files generated?

Connection information and the associated files are probably created the
first time that you create a database connection. There is a technote that I
have read that suggested moving the database outside of the defined site so
that it does not sit somewhere under C:\inetpub\wwwroot\sitename. This is
supposed to get around the issue of DW generating lock files when you are
working on pages that access recordsets
