Finally it works.
I just had to wait.
My mac is a Macbook Pro with M2 Max with the latest beta of Sonoma.
Thank you so much for your help.
Best Regards!

Now macOS Sonoma is official, I just installed the official release on an iMac 27-inch 2020, at first Dreamweaver 2021 did not open, but finally after restarting the OS 2 times, it has now opened... so it seems all is working now. I was a bit afraid after installing macOS Sonoma when Dreamweaver 2021 was not opening, I am using it daily and it is very important for me... so I am happy to report that at last Dreamweaver 2021 is fully open and functional on my macOS Sonoma.

Now that Sonoma has been officially released, are there any plans to address issues with Dreamweaver? I'm running Version 21.3, 15593 Build, on a 2019 iMac (not Apple Silicon). Since I updated to Sonoma yesterday, DW has locked up (spinning beachball) half a dozen times. There doesn't seem to be any pattern other than it mostly happens when I'm typing. No choice but to Force Quit and then deal with the DW file recovery process (grateful to have that, at least!).

Preform a fresh install of Creative Cloud apps on top of new operating system.
1. Use Adobe's CC Cleaner Tool below to remove old apps & preferences from your system.
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
2. Restart your computer.
3. Install the latest CC Dekstop app followed by DW.
4. Restart your computer.
Hope that helps.

Hi Lorin,
Thanks for your feedback. Can you please confirm if the files are being accessed through external mounted folder location or local disk. Also, can you please try resetting Dw app preferences by performing the steps in this KB article and confirm if the issue is still observed on your machine, we will accordingly investigate the issue further.
Have a pleasant day!

@Nayan_Kankariya - There is another thread about Dreamweaver locking up like this. It appears to be repeatable in code view when user tries to right click ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/dreamweaver-bugs/porbleme-apr%C3%A8s-mise-a-jour-mac-sonoma/idi-p/141... ). Nothing appears to resolve the issue at the moment.

Tried all of the above: complete wipe and re-install, resetting DW preferences, rebooting several times. No joy.
DW doesn't lock up every time I right-click, but it does seem like right-clicking is the event that will trigger a freeze.
DW and my files reside on an external SSD that is connected through a USB port. I've moved my entire Mac onto that SSD, as it is much faster than the original internal HDD.

I've always kept my files internally but still experience the freezing issue. It only seems to happen in code view or me. Anywhere else the right clicking works as expected.

Hi @Ben M,
Thanks for the info. Yes, we are able to recreate the issue with right-click in code view only on macOS Sonoma. We will further investigate the behavior and provide an update on the resolution.
Have a pleasant day!

Confirmation. If I avoid right-clicking in DW, then I can work for hours with no problems at all. When I forget and right-click, I will get the spinning beachball within a few seconds

Same issue here. Is there a pior version that doesn't fail in sonoma?
Adobe's QA is beyond the pale. No one on the planet would call failure when "Right clicking" an edge case that would allow a product to go out -- unless of course you never bothered to include it in your testing.

========
Unlikely. Sonoma released just last month (Sept 26).
The current version of Dreamweaver 2021 works OK on Big Sur, Monterey and Ventura.

Dreamweaver is in minimal maintenance, not active development. So my assumption would be that it wasn't tested because it's not actively being developed, but it should be likely that the bug will get addressed post Sonoma launch. However, the question that remains is when.

I can confirm after updating to Sonoma 14.3 today the right click crash error is no longer present.
