Dreamweaver CC (13.0)

I've been using Dreamweaver CC on my desktop for years with no problem. About a month ago, I got a "Sign In' window when trying to start the program. I sign in properly and the next window says thanks, enjoy, etc but then loops me back to the Sign In window. This loops continously no matter how many times I try to sign in.

Saw somewhere that if I delete Users/.../Appdata/Local/Adobe/opm.db and sign back in to Creative Cloud it may solve the issue. It did not.

all other Adobe programs work beautifully just not this older version of Dreamweaver.

Any suggestion?

Adobe deprecated legacy DW 2013 a long time ago.

It's no longer accessible from the CC Desktop App.

If it's still installed and you're using Win10, go to your Win Start menu.

Right-click on DW 2013 icon.

Select More > Run as Administrator.

Hope that helps.

Tried to 'Run as Admin', still have the same login issue, I sign in and then
I get looped back to the sign in screen. Endlessly.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Have you updated your Creative Cloud desktop app?

Below are direct downloads to legacy CC installers but Adobe can deactivate these at anytime.  Adobe expects customers to use the latest software, no more than 2 versions back.

Yes and all other Adobe products. They all work fine. Dreamweaver CC (13.0) did as well until about 3 weeks ago. No change to the system, no nothing --just one day I got the 'Sign In' prompt.

Try nuking the Configuration folder.

Close All apps.

Open Win File Explorer.  C:/users > [your_name] > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Dreamweaver CC 2013 > [language] > Configuration.

Delete the Configuration folder.

Restart your computer.

this may point to my issue; there is no Configuration folder in any of my Dreamweaver folders.

I followed the path exactly and drill down enough to find all the Dreamweaver folders, one for each version that's installed, but none have a Configuration folder inside.

does that tell you something?

Found that file deleted it, rebooted my system and tried to open Dreamweaver. No luck. Still looping in the 'sign in' window.

"...there is no Configuration folder in any of my Dreamweaver folders."

It usually means you are in the wrong location (possibly the wrong user account on your system), or you haven't turned on your system's Hidden Files to see them. No version of DW can be run without creating that hidden Configuration folder.

You need to follow Nancy's file path exactly, after turning on your systems Hidden Files. Do not the OS search function, it won't find what you're looking for.

I found the dat file and deleted it. Restarted my system, tried to fire up Dreamweaver but was met with the 'Sign in/Thank You' loop again. So that doesn't work. But thanks for the suggestion.

any others?

When I have a log-in issue with CC, I generally do the following...

1. Log out of the CC Desktop App
2. Restart the computer
3. Log into the CC Desktop App
4. Open the offending program

I occasionally have issues with Acrobat thinking I'm not logged in, that tends to fix it there, maybe it'll work for DW.

As Jon said, you must enable HIDDEN Files & folders from the VIEW tab in Win File Explorer.

At this point, I would try reinstalling the program entirely using the CC Cleaner Tool here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

...then downloading the program using the link on the ProDesignTools.com website here: https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html

Make sure to follow the VERY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS on that page. Basically you'll be downloading from Adobe's servers directly, so you have to set a cookie by visiting a specific page they give a link to. If you don't do that, you'll get an Access Denied error when you go to download the file.

I have verified the link is still active and the .exe file will download correctly if you follow the steps.
