I'm sorry, but Adobe doesn't read this (and others) forum... anyhow, if you use Dreamweaver for server behaviors and you want move to the last version CC, see the extensions from WebAssist (it's coming soon new version of Data Bridge with MySQLi support).

I'm just going back to CS6. I have seen absolutely no reason for the upgrade/update/etc. There is less server interaction. It's faster. AND I get my database, bindings, and server behavior tools back! WHOO HOO!!

Hi pyrocrig,

It is actually better that the server behaviors were removed from CC (which is faster than CS6 actually), as the code generated using them is already Deprecated...  In a near future (when your hosting provider updates the PHP version) the pages created using this deprecated code will just stop working. The original MySQL extension has been deprecated since PHP 5.5, and will generate E_DEPRECATED errors when connecting to a database.

Anyway - you can install the deprecated server behaviors in CC if you wish

Still working. Fast and simple. What menu item do I need to click on to SHOW my Databases, Bindings and Server Behaviors in CC 2014? I don't use CC anymore. Installing, deprecating, blah blah ... just tell me which menu for the latest! CC 2014 for EVERYTHING else. Just DW CS6 - for these server items. Maybe I just have to make the full switch to Notepad C++ or something. Ugh.... Been using DW since the UltraDev 4.0 Macromedia days.

Each version of Dreamweaver is worse and worse, when will Adobe team realize that WordPress sucks i will never develop something for WordPress i prefer my own 100% hand made CMS, what i see is that the developers of adobe which now are offshore don't want to have competition for their people and forcing us the customer who we pay the monthly rent use a software every update more useless, i suggest adobe team listen to us the costumers ask us what features we need instead of forcing us to something most don't use.

Hello IronADDT,

At DMXzone we've already released (in Sept 2013) a full set of extension for connecting to your database(s) and managing your database content. A great replacement of the old server behaviors technology to create new dynamic web apps built the Ajax way!

The Database Connector as well as the Database Updater feature a great Database Connection Wizard, fully visual Query Builder to make your work a breeze.

They are available for PHP and ASP

You can check the Database Connectivity Collections and learn more about the features of the extensions on our website:

For PHP:  http://www.dmxzone.com/go/22151/dynamic-database-connectivity-collection-php

For ASP:  http://www.dmxzone.com/go/22152/dynamic-database-connectivity-collection-asp

Ok, great Adobe!!!

Before discontinued Server Behaviors and now old extensions not more available... but are you sure that all dreamweaver users are using wordpress for their works?

When Macromedia lunched a new version, always new improvement not downgrading.

I think it's time for Adobe to rename the tool... from "Dreamweaver" to "Muse CSS Editor" (or Muse WordPress Editor).

Hi,

Try quitting the Creative Cloud desktop app and relaunching. The Extension Manager CC update (7.2) should hopefully show up. Extension manager CC 7.2 has the support for installing extensions for Dreamweaver CC 2014.

Thanks

Mudit

YOu can get the panel back by downloading a free extension - however there is no way to actually install the extension as there is no extension manager for the new version and the Addons page simply doesn't work.

The Add Ons page will be live in some time from now. I don't have a date and time yet. Will get back as soon as I hear something on this one.

Thanks,

Preran

But Preran,

That still doesn't help us install extensions we already own. There is no extension manager for DW CC 2014

As far as I know there are no NEW server behaviours UNLESS it's part of the update. It's a well kept secret if it is.

Server behaviors were deprecated in the previous year's release. See http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2013/06/a-look-at-the-modernized-dreamweaver-cc.html

Sorry for the brevity. We had a big release and I am trying to do my best in getting to all the posts.

Thanks,

Preran
