Dreamweaver CC 2017 site window background color

In Dreamweaver CC 2017 the background color of my site window that shows the list of files on my local computer and on the server, is a  somewhat light gray but not light enough and the list of files in it is dark gray.  It's readable but strains my eyes.  I much prefer the white background in my CS5 version and often use that instead because it has good contrast and is much easier on my eyes but there are certain things I need the 2017 version so I have to keep switching back and forth. Is there any way at all to lighten this gray background of the site files? I've clicked the lightest of the 4 color themes available in preferences but I don't see any options to change the files background.  The only other options for the interface is coloring the code which is not the problem.

Ben's advice will allow you to change the Code View window theme, but it won't affect any other part of the application aside from the Code Inspector and Code View window.

Aside from the four App Themes you've already tried, there's no way to change the application color scheme from within the program interface yet.

Go to Help > Feature Request/Bug Report and submit a feature request. If enough people vote on it, Adobe may consider adding that functionality to the program.

Another way is to install a theme from Brackets Themes. To do this,

    1. create a new theme in Dreamweaver and click the edit button

    2. choose the theme

    3. replace all of the contents with with the contents of the LESS file for the theme.
