Dreamweaver connection problems, please help!

Hi all. When I try to connect to my Mysql database I get the message 'Your PHP server doesn't have the mysql module loaded or you can't use the mysql_(p)connect fuctions'. I'm using a remote server (zymic) who use mysql and Phpmyadmin. I've looked online all day, but most people have problems when using programs locally. I do have PHP and Apache installed on my computer. I'm a beginner at this and becoming very stressed! Any advice would be great.

Before going any further, I would suggest you confirm with your host that they do allow remote MySQL connections. More and more hosts these days do not support this for security reasons.
