You can't simply copy the program directory in Windows and expect it to work.  There are registry entries and shared systems folders as well.  You can try downloading a trial of CS5.5 via one of these links if they still work but you will need your serial number: https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html .  Using an old programs have no guarantee they will work on your new laptop as even Windows 10 was outside of the specs so if it doesn't work then this could all be for nothing.  If you just need a free code editor to make some edits on a site while you are traveling, I would recommend you consider visual studio code: https://code.visualstudio.com .

Ben is right.  You cannot just migrate programs from old machines to new ones. The installation routine is essential.

CS5 might install on Win 11 or not.  It will never be tested on that OS because CS5 is discontinued & unsupported.

Best advice, find a modern code editor.  Nobody should use outdated web authoring software that's 12 years out of date.

As for DMX Zone products, download from the DMX Zone website if needed.

https://www.dmxzone.com/

MODERN CODE EDITORS:
-- Adobe Dreamweaver CC - https://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver.html
-- Atom (free) - https://atom.io/
-- Codespaces (free, browser-based) - https://github.com/features/codespaces
-- Nova (Mac only, formerly called Coda) - https://nova.app/
-- Pinegrow - https://pinegrow.com/
-- Sublime Text - http://www.sublimetext.com/
-- Visual Studio Code (free) - https://code.visualstudio.com/

Hope that helps.

If all you need is your serial number if you log into your Adobe account, you can click on Plans and Payment. Then click on Products you should see all valid serials that you have registered with Adobe.
