It's not certified to run on Windows 11, but usually does.

Development pretty much stopped on the program at Windows 10. Adobe is no longer adding new features or fixing bugs, they're only doing listed OS compatibility patches (Window 10 and older) security updates and third party library updates going forward.

What version of DW are you tring to install?
Is it an Enterprise edition (something you got from the school)?
What errors, if any, are coming up when you try to install/run the program?

I have the laytest version of Dreamweaver working on two PCs running Windows 11. Are you trying to run an older version of Dreamweaver?

1. Restart your computer.

2. Go to Windows Start menu.

3. Scroll down to Adobe Dreamweaver 2021 icon

4. Right-click > More > Run as Administrator.

Hope that helps.

This could have something to do if you're using a machine with the Snapdragon Processor - for some insane reason Adobe hasn't updated their programs even though the Microsoft Surface laptops have pretty much defaulted to Snapdragon on their laptops - I guess Adobe doesn't care enough about the PC side of the world to make the update. They did it for Photoshop but not Illustrator, Dreamweaver, or several others.

Come on Adobe - push that update and show support for all us PCs that pay you tons of money monthly!!!!!

I did see in another forum that someone said they could copied the files from their program files on their old laptop and transferred them to the new PC and had some success running the apps that way. I haven't tried that yet; but guess I will be soon.

Thanks for your feedback to this 1.5-year-old topic. 🙄

FWIW, I have no problems running Dreamweaver or any other Adobe apps on the latest build of Win11 ver 23H2.

Assuming your CPU & GPU meet the stated requirements, your Creative Cloud apps should work on these systems, no more than 2 versions back.

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 23H2, 22H2; Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
  • MacOS 15 (Sequoia), 14.7 (Sonoma), 13.6.7 (Ventura), 12.7.6 (Monterey).
