Dreamweaver Preview on Mobile Device Not Connecting

New Here ,
Mar 16, 2020 Mar 16, 2020

Until about a week ago everything was fine but I am now unable to preview our Dreamweaver development website on my Android device.

I enter the correct link and it attempted to connect but then goes in a constant loop between various Adobe authorisation web links and bounces back and forth between the preview URL (which is correct) and the other adobe sites.

Can anyone help to resolve ??

Thanks

Murray

In the meantime, you could upload your site to a TEST folder on your remote server.

It may just be Adobe's servers goofing up. I personally never use Device Preview or the Real-Time Preview in DW because of this (I prefer using my local testing server and the old Preview in Browser instead).

Do you have a local testing server set up by chance?

Hi Jon.  Actually don't currently but looking into it for the future.

Probably a good move.

The reason I bring it up is because, when you place your site's root folders within the local testing server root, you can open them from any device connected to your network by entering your computers local network IP followed by the site folder name. Basically, going into your browser and typing something like...

123.456.78.90/yoursitefolder

...opens the site on that device without the need to go through Adobe's servers.

They're pretty easy to set up, and the software is free. The info on this page is a little dated for DW, but the basics of how to work with the server are still accurate...
