Liking DW 2017 so far, but the ability to save/export the search results (to xml) seems to have gone.
Is it still there but hidden where I can't find it?
Hi,
Can you please confirm if you are wanting to save the search query or search results which are displayed in the search panel?
As per the new update of Dw CC 17.1, you can now save and load search queries.
We have added registry entries to enable Save and Load Query options. Please follow the steps as below-

I nipped over to bug report / feature request to have my say.
Niharika Gupta has reported that it is now in backlog, so hopefully, it'll be back.

Any news on this? I find it highly frustrating that you can't export the results of a search

Hi,
We are happy to announce that we have addressed the older functionality of Save and Load query in Find and Replace dialog in latest Prerelease drop.
Please go to the link Adobe Prerelease and install the latest build 11137.

The request is not to Save and Load queries. The request is to save or export the search results. The original issue/request of this thread is still open.

Yes. Why isn't Adobe getting this? I need to save the results and bring them into Excel. Please, please bring this back but not as an xml export but as a csv!

I think that the main problem is not to convert... but to replace the export tool from the result panel that has gone... ![]()

Hi Nancy, As Birnou stated, the export tool was removed. The converter you mentioned was what I used to use. It was part on my workflow. We need the ability to export AGAIN! Preferably as CSV so the converter wouldn't be needed.

Hi tomb92906800
We had already raised this as a story to be picked up in further Dw releases, and we are working on it.
I have also added your usecase in that story.

Hello Niharika,
thanks for the heads up, however, would it be possible for us to better understand the ins and outs of such comments.
Indeed, although a member of prerelease since the days of Macromedia, I must admit that I am not yet familiar with the dialectics and jargon of developers... backlog, story, whish list, your priorities... use case and so on...
so
when you say "We had already raised this as a story to be picked up in further Dw releases, and we are working on it. "... what should we understand about it...?
will this feature be integrated in the next build?... in the next major release???? in a future version but we don't know when...???
and how can we follow these integrations? since when you manage them in backlogs, and in stories... they disappear from the database bug?
thank you for your clarifications?
and have a pleasant day
birnou
