DW causes "caching" on CFMX server
not sure if this is the right forum, but this seems beyond
the general topics.
oddest thing, it appears to work fine, then after awhile changes won't be apparent on the server when viewing the files in a browser. if i look on the the server and view them in a text editor, i can see the changes, but not apparent in a browser. this is cfmx 6.1 and there are no problems there. it seems to be with DW 8.
i finally deduced it was DW after hours of messing with everything else and came to the conclusion after trying the same site with other remote servers.
i reinstalled and same thing, all the other sites worked, though.
then i uninstalled and removed all the registry entries and now the same thing is happening on all sites.
as a terrible solution, i put the remote path as the local path and i can edit the files directly on the server and everything is fine, it's only when i use DW as the FTP client that there is a problem.
and just for fun, i used DW to edit the files then manually copied them to the server and all changes are fine.
this appears to be an FTP issue.
does anyone have any ideas how to solve this? thanks much.
