DWcs6 not support C# aspx pages in database panel .. Why??

DW cs6 in data base panel not active the plus + icon to add database connection to .aspx pages with C# ..we can see that in image attached.

I think if you look at the code for the .net framework in 2004 you will find that it was the version 1 framework, but in 2004 microsoft released the version 2 framework, which included significant changes, not least the incorporation of making ajax usage and features similar to the jquery ui, (and spry framework) easy for users.

Unfortunatly the version 2 release of the .net framework by microsoft coincided almost exactly with the release of mx2004, and after consultation with microsoft, (i am told) it was decided to drop any further .net support as it was impossible for microsoft to supply Dw with updated code within the time period required before a version of Dw was released.

Dw did move the support to an extension, but once it was realised that it would never be able to keep the code base current the updating of it was dropped. The current version of Dw, (2017) does offer some support, but again it has already fallen behind as microsoft has updated the .net framework yet again.

Trying to keep a program updated to the latest requirements, is always difficult. I do not know what plans the Dw team has for .net and C# support, but as the web moves forward products must decide priorities on its user base, with the requirements of the majority coming first.

Support for working with databases using .net was removed in Dw 2004, this was because microsoft updated the code but were unable to provide the updated code base in time for the Dw release. It was thought at the time, (and as a C# user i agree) that it was better to drop support than to be continuously at least 1 version behind.

Whilst you can still develop using .net in Dw, i do not recommend doing so, as much, (if not most) of the required features are not up to date, this even applies to the later versions.

but is still adobe add this option in his next version 2004 still include asp.net for VB C # ???
