Extension Manager freezes/crashes in windows 7

My extension manager will not open 98% of time. When it does it freezes on screen and locks up. I have searced every forum for a week... I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling to no avail. I have tried running as admin, creating folders etc... please help

I have adobe creative suite 4, one installed on laptop (vista) works flawlessly. Then one installed on desktop (windows 7) everything works except for the extensions manager. This program is no good without EM... can anyone help...

I temporarily turned off AVG after going through all the tips regarding permissions etc. and it launched fine and let me install a new extension.

Turned AVG on after install and the extensions show fine in Flash.

My PC is Windows 7 64bit.

Hi,

Just a longshot - check your virus detection program (i.e. McAfee) and make sure the firewall is not interfering with extension manager.
