Forum editor plug-in?

New Here ,

Hi all,
I'm just wondering what the state of play is with DW interacting with forum layout? Are there any plug-ins for setting up the look of any forum software? What is this DW forum designed in? How do graphic designers with only XHTML and CSS under their belt design forums, which mainly seem to be in php? Cheers.

As every forum does things differently, if there were such a beast (I'm not aware of any that are specific to a forum), it would need to be specific to the forum itself, so perhaps check on the forum creator's site to see if they have something available for facilitating editing in Dreamweaver.

Also, the forums at the forum creator's site typically have clues/tips/instructions about how to go about modifying the forum. Some even have "skins" that you can use to give a new look to the forum.

I've seen a variety of forums (PHP and otherwise), some of which may only need changing the CSS and swapping out some images to perform any edits, but I've also seen some that use XML files to store layout content and you have to modify the XML files and make other changes to images and CSS.

Maybe ask in the Dreamweaver general or application development forums to see if anyone has some suggestions for easy to edit/modify forum software:
