Freezing When Uploading to Remote Server on Mac

Hello all. I have just updated to the CC 2017 version and am pleased to find it much faster on my Mac running the latest version of Sierra OS.

However, I am having one recurring issue: When I use the "Synchronize with remote server" button, "put" files and the preview button, the program will check all the files and give me the list of files to be synced. But when I press the "OK" button to run the sync, I get the spinning wheel and the program freezes for a long time. Sometimes, after a period of at least 10 minutes or so, it will then do the sync. Other times it does not recover and I have to force quit. I have searched for an answer but cannot find anything that applies to this situation.

I went to my FTP settings and ran the test and it says it is connecting to my remote server fine so it doesn't appear to be a connection issue.

Any suggestions on how to remedy this? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Update: My copy of DW on my Macbook Air does not have this issue so it appears to be a corrupted file or setting.

I tried uninstalling DW from my Mac and re-installing but that didn't help.

Can someone please help?

I never use File Sync to remote server.  It just feels like an opportunity for trouble that I don't need or want.

Can you FTP files without File Sync?

Nancy

Thanks for the reply Nancy. I can use a regular FTP program and DW also works when putting a single file or folder. It's just that synchronize button that gives me issues. While a stand-alone FTP is a good workaround, I'd still like to figure out why this isn't functioning properly. It works fine on my laptop so it's got to be a settings or corrupt file issue.

Anyone else have thoughts? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
