FTP Permission Errors

Hi

I can no longer upload files to my website???
I can log on, and download files but cannot upload files/pages to the site???
Error is:
The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.

I am the site administrator and have changed nothing - it is really starting to p@#$ me off!!

Please help - how do I fix this???
