help layout for dreamweaver

years ago i was able to drag drop and resize and just do any thing i want now with cs6 dream these options are gone is the a way to get back to that option

    There was an Adobe program that was drag and drop and I forget the name of it. It was NOT Dreamweaver, but could be obtained in a package with some of the other Adobe programs including Dreamweaver and/or the drag and drop one.

    You mean Adobe Muse?  Well, that's End of Life now.  I don't recommend using it. 

    If you own a Mac, there are a couple of visual web design tools to try. 

    And there's an online app called WebFlow that might appeal to some users.

    DW was never a drag & drop app although some people incorrectly used it that way.  The resulting product was usually a mess. So  Adobe saw fit to remove AP Div Layers from the insert menus.

    Today, DW expects you to know how to work with code.   Or use one of the pre-built Starter Templates as your layout.

    File > New > Starter Templates.   Pick one and hit the Create button.   SaveAs index.html

    Sorry Nancy, I miss what you're meaning... DW IS a Drage and Drop app...  Ok I have perhaps missed what you do mean... but as you can see on the video (sorry no sound)...

    • if in live view on click on an insert item one can say precisly where we want to add the item... befire, after, in within and so on...
    • if we drag the item there is a green line that shows us where we could drop the item
    • in the DOM panel one can drag and drop items to move them around
    • in the display view one can add links using Pick Quick features
    • and there are many others...
