I have purchased the Upload in Background extension and installed it, restarted Dreamweaver, and when i try to put it in a page it gives an error message "Please select input file tag" Where do I go to create an input file tag??
I tried to create a PHP page, and also to integrate this into a previously built and working ASP page.

Any help will be appreciated

No idea what extension you are talking about, but in order to upload files,
you will need a form with a file field (that's the tag with a text input box
and a Browse button) and a submit button. then you would select the file
field tag and apply the extension.

As to what server model is supported, consult the extension developer's help
file or web site.

It is a Hot Dreamweaver Extension. "Upload in background"

I finally got it to allow the page to be created, and function. But the files do not get uploaded to the site. it seems to go through the motions, but never gets the files in the site.

I had to add a field called ID in addition to the normal fields that the form creates automatically.

I have checked everything available on the subject, and can find nothing that explains what to do except fill in the fields that are presented.

The server is setup to prosess PHP and all the other critea are met. I guess i just have to call it an experiment in futility. Kind of reduces my faith in the Hot Dreamweaver extensions.

I had a similar problem with that extension and the solution was to set write permissions (777) in the upload folder. I was working with a Windows server, so I need to set the permissions via the hosting control panel, but if you are working with a Linux/Unix server you can set the permissions from FTP.

However I suggest you to contact the HotDreamweaver support service, from what I've experienced in my previous contacts they answer very fast. You can also try to see the step-by-step video in the extension page: Upload in Background.
