How do I move my code view back to the left side?

I mostly work on the code side of my split view.  The new update puts my code view on the right side of the screen and is visually difficult to navigate because it causes me to look backwards.   It is like reading Hebrew and since I am on a US version of CC, I expect to work from right to left.

The vast majority of the upgrades seem to be geared towards WYSIWYG so it is beyond my comprehension why Adobe would force a new default and cripple coders.

Is there a way to move my code view to the left side as it has been since CS3 (or earlier)

Upgrades that take a half a day to figure out are really getting old!

After taking off the Live View on Left then choose one of the four options that are above Split Vertically.  Sounds as though you're currently set to Code, either select Code and Live in View or Select the Split button of the three buttons (i.e. Code, Split, Live) [or if you're in non-Fluid Grid, Live will be a drop down of either Live or Design]. These buttons appear in your Document toolbar.

RR456, that just gives you code view by itself.   I want the split view (hopefully with design o the next update) but want the code on the left and the live view on the right

Thank you.  Now I see it.  The default is live view on left and I had to uncheck it.

(These updates are making me crazy.. While I appreciate the concept of keeping the programs up to date -  I am dismayed that I have to continually recreate my workspaces)

For me, unchecking the Design view on left gets reset when I close Dreamweaver and then reopen it. Anyone know how to make this a permanent setting?

I would first try clearing the Program Cache, if that doesn't work, renaming the personal configuration folder may do the trick...

Clear Program Cache - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811

Rename Personal Configuration Folder - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/494812

If neither work, restoring preferences may do it:

Restore Preferences CC Versions - https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver.html

If all else fails, a factory fresh installation of the program using the Cleaner Tool to get rid of any straggler files should do it...

Cleaner Tool Reinstall (last resort) - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

In View, I have Code-Design, Split-Vertically, and Design View on Left checked.  Design is on the RIGHT.  After years of working with design on left, I am to adjust because someone at Adobe likes it that way?  Also, I had a workspace that I really liked.  It is gone.  I have Standard and Developer, neither of which I like.  And yes, I DID synch my settings after upgrading to the new version.  Please help!

Got it - DUH! Unchecked Design View on Left and all is well.  Also went into Preferences to get rid of the black code view.  It's depressing to open Dreamweaver to get some work done and have to spend time configuring...
