I have currently got a swf file i would like to change and cannot do it in Dreamweaver as it says I do not have a valid editor for file extension. How can i edit this file or do I need to upgrade my package

SWF files are Flash "movies". If the SWF was created in Flash, then you need to have the original source FLA file to perform edits within Flash. If it wasn't created in Flash, then you'll need to source file that was used to generate your SWF and the program originally used.

If you do not have the source file, then it's supposedly possible to reverse engineer a SWF into a source file (search Google for some relevant links), but I've not done it so can't attest to the effectiveness of it, or even the legality of it if you don't "own" the rights to the source.
